Reflecting on America

About Me

I’m an organizational development consultant by day, helping companies small and large to evaluate their structure, culture, and activities for improved productivity and working environment.  But the focus of this blog is more personal, for me and for you.

Over the last year or so I have watched Americans come to accept the unacceptable, analogous to what I frequently observe in organizations when employees come to accept the intolerable at work. Lockdowns, censorship, violence, destruction, and outright lies are everyday occurrences in our lives and many of us are no longer batting an eye.  It’s as if we’ve stepped into a Twilight Zone episode where George Orwell’s 1984 and Animal Farm have shifted from being warnings to a free society to serving as operating manuals for our politicians, media, big tech, and now our medical establishment.

As an organizational consultant I am trained to see beyond the surface of what is occurring in groups and factions, to dive beyond the outward actions into the core beliefs and motivations that can be camouflaged by duplicity and indoctrination.  My childlike curiosity, my lifelong status as an Independent voter, and a tenacious need to ask why suits me well for this task.  Watching my friends, neighbors, and fellow citizens, both liberal and conservative, naively gulp this poisonous Kool-Aid daily and then spew it at me and others has compelled me to create this outlet for asking ‘Whose Deception Has Become Your Truth?’
